HISTORY
The Hilda Rothschild Foundation (HRF) was established (1995) as the umbrella organization for programs of local development launched in El Salvador.
Community Development Projects:
- Santa Maria de la Esperanza, Santiago Texacuangos
(1995-1999) - Joya Grande and adjacent communities of the Lake Ilopango region,
(2000-2011)

I. Empowered women acquired skills for work in:
- Bakeries
- Computers
- Montessori Education
- Promoters in Education
- Health Promoters
- Micro-enterprise administration
II. Children acquired a solid base in education upon which to build their education. Children who attended the Montessori School at Joya Grande usually excel among the best students in primary and secondary school.
- The health of the community improved through the HRF health programs that were focused on prevention.
- Improvements in Health and the well-being of the community.
